About Me

I was born in Sudan, grew up in the United Arab Emirates and studied in Italy. I do not define myself solely as an architect but also as an artist, creative, activist and the sum of all my experiences in life so far is what makes me, myself. I believe once we put ourselves in a box, we limit our potential to learn, grow and mature mentally and emotionally more.

I also believe that growth is not only academic, but also from life experiences and people around me. My friends share the same drive and motivation to excel in their respective fields or crafts and channel the same energy into their work. Shoutout to everyone who influenced, motivated and educated me.

Growing up in two parallel countries that are drastically different made me develop empathy, sensibility and awareness for the effects that political and economical settings have on the people. I grew up with the struggles of my family and people in Sudan but had access to the opportunities that the United Arab Emirates offered. This consciousness is my constant push to keep pursuing opportunities. I feel a responsibility to acquire as much knowledge as I can to be able to apply it for the development of Sudan.

I have been influenced immensely by my constantly changing environment which taught me how to look for traces and similarities that connects the people, their different habits and cultural practices across the different contexts I experience. I also learned to appreciate the uniqueness each environment possesses which shapes the habits of its people.
